What are Fillers?
Fillers are injectable medical substances which smooth our wrinkles and contours, most commonly in the face, to give a smoother more youthful appearance.
How long do Fillers last?
Most fillers are temporary, and usually last around 4 to 6 months. There are permanent fillers on the market, but these are rarely used as outcomes are usually inferior. Hyaluronic acid fillers are the most commonly used and are the type of fillers that I favour. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the body.
How can Fillers by used?
Fillers can be used to: - fill in wrinkles, fine lines and creases - improving other imperfections, such as scars - filling out thin or wrinkled lips - plumping up cheeks - contouring areas of the face, such as the jawline and bridge of the nose
Is it painful?
Very fine needles are used to inject fillers, which minimises any discomfort. In addition, other techniques to further eliminate any discomfort can be used.
